Deosaran Slams Ton In Guyana Cup

The Guyana Cup Open and Masters competitions opened yesterday in Georgetown with several teams recording wins, and a few players achieving individual milestones. Highlighting the individual performances were national batsman Krishna Deosaran, who cracked a brilliant 101 not out, including 8 sixes and 7 fours, in Trophy Stall’s 146-run whipping of South Florida Hurricane Cricket Club.

Also among the runs were Patrick Rooplall (84) of Cotton Field Wild Oats, Ricky Deonarain (84) for Floodlight Masters, L. Barlow (82*) of Savage XI, and A. Gordon (87) for New York Softball Cricket League Legends. Among the bowlers, Daniel Bholo ( 4-15) of Cotton Field Wild Oats, Mahesh Chunilall ( 4-12) of Regal Masters, M. Arjune ( 4-23) of Regal XI, and D. Ramnauth ( 4-15) of Trophy Stall returned the day’s best figures.
