First Global Money Signs On

Georgetown, Guyana – First Global Money (Guyana) Inc., a subsidiary of First Global Data Limited, has signed on as an official sponsor of the Guyana Amazon Warriors for the inaugural Limacol CPL which bowls off on July 30.

The announcement was made on Thursday by Ravie Ramcharitar, director of the Guyana Amazon Warriors franchise.

Signing the sponsorship agreement on behalf of First Global Money (Guyana) Inc. was Bobita Ram, regional vice president for the company’s Caribbean chapter.

First Global Money (Guyana) Inc is located on Camp Street, Georgetown, and is one of 12 international subsidiaries of First Global Data Limited, headquartered in Toronto, Canada. There are approximately 70,000 First Global locations worldwide.

The company specialises in offering non-banking financial services that are rapidly becoming popular due to the growing use of technology for business purposes. It also offers financial services such as mobile and online money remittances and payments.

Commenting on the company’s decision to become a sponsor of the Guyana Amazon Warriors, Ram said, “We at First Global see great potential in this venture, not only financially but also culturally as it will take the beloved Guyanese tradition of cricket to a whole new level. First Global, being a global company with subsidiaries worldwide and a customer base of over one million, see the Limacol CPL as yet another opportunity to partake in an international affair and to fulfil our corporate responsibilities to the various communities we serve.

With their alliance, First Global Money (Guyana) Inc will be featured in advertising campaigns for the Guyana Amazon Warriors and their logo will also be showcased on the leading arm of the Guyana Amazon Warriors players’ uniforms. Additionally, the company’s logo will be advertised on the perimeter board on the field at the Guyana National Stadium for the four matches that will be held at the venue.

Director of the Guyana Amazon Warriors franchise, Ramcharitar revealed that, “The Guyana Amazon Warriors welcome the sponsorship and support of First Global Money Guyana Inc. for this the inaugural Limacol CPL.  It is an honour to have a subsidiary of such a large and prominent global company on board for this historical event in Guyana.

The company thrives on delivering a superior service, integrity and respect to their customers and other stakeholders and is aiming to bring these same values to the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Limacol CPL.

Meanwhile, present at the signing were Dwayne Lovell, representative of the Guyana Amazon Warriors team management, and Guyana Amazon Warriors players, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Steven Jacobs.

Limacol CPL matches will be held on July 31 and August 2 and 4 in Guyana.
