Several businesses have chipped in with monetary assistance to the Guyana Floodlight Softball Cricket Association ( GFSCA), which is sending two teams to participate in the Florida Cup 2011.

The softball event will take place in the United States of America on March 4-6 at the Fort Lauderdale Cricket Stadium and surrounding facilities.

Sankar’s Autocolor of 86 Sheriff Street, Campbellville, the nationwide supplier of Nexa Autocolor and 3M products, Metro Office and Computer Supplies of 127 Quamina Street, South Cummingsburg, Guyana Lottery Company and Top Brandz, the countrywide supplier of Interstate Batteries, are proud sponsors of the Floodlight A and B teams.

According to a release from the GFSCA, “The association welcomes, and is thankful for, the assistance which will be used for expenditure during the tournament in the USA.” Floodlight A was the runner-up last year, and is very optimistic of victory this year.
