GCA Training For 36 juniors

Thirty-six youth cricketers have been selected to attend a Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) organised one-day Skills Development Programme on Tuesday at the National Gymnasium from 9am

The programame will be conducted in two sessions. The 19 selected Under-15 players will occupy the centre from 9 am to 12 pm while the 17 Under-19 players will begin their session at 1 pm and it will conclude at 4 pm.

According the GCA, these sessions are part of the association’s Youth Development Programme, and is also a continuation of the recently held one-week camp which was conducted by former Guyana players Roger and Mark Harper.

The invited Under-15s are Darien Best, Michael Shalim, Prince Roberts, Dexter George, Valdez Sukhu, David Mohammed, Josiah Mattel, Nadeem Rasheed, Aleem Rasheed, Martin Pestano-Belle, Fadil Umrow, Devon Lord, Kumar Singh, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Pravindralall Persaud, Daniel Manohar, Aboyomi Scott, Tevin Imloch and Yuvraj Paul Dayal.

The selected Under-19 players are Mohan Ramdeen, Chanderpaul Hemraj, Denesh Mangal, Wasim Mustapha, Safraz Esau, Nicosi Barker, Kevon Fredericks, Clairmonte Duesbury, Ricardo Devers, Clevon Hyman, Dillon Fernandes, Raj Nanan, Raphael Singh, Gavin Charles, Stephon Sampson, Marc Nicholson and Wayne Yansen.

The players are asked to be present at the venue at least 30 minutes before their session begins.
