Kanden Re-Elected Albion President

Lloyd Kanden was re-elected unopposed as president of the Albion Community Centre Cricket Club, when the Club held its Annual General Meeting last Wednesday at the Albion Community Centre Main Hall.

Kanden, a pastor by profession, will serve for his 12th consecutive term and will have Imtiaz Bacchus as his vice-president, Pawan Baldeo as secretary (replacing Muthusammy Permaul, who did not seek re-election) and Hemindra Ramdial as treasurer. Ramdial, a former Assistant Secretary/ Treasurer, replaces Orvin Mangru, who by virtue of his current job position did not seek re-election, while former president Vemen Walter is the new Assistant Secretary/Treasurer.

Three Committee Members were also elected, namely, Jaipaul Mohabir, Puran Mangal and Andy Mohan. The newly elected executives will be meeting shortly to name the captains, vice-captains and managers of the club’s respective teams, together with the various sub-committees.
