Metro Sponsors RHT Females

Stationery giants, Metro Office & Computer Supplies have renewed its cricket sponsorship of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, female team for the sixth consecutive year.

This year the company has pumped $160,000 into the team, which it has been sponsoring since 2008.

Regional Manager of Metro Office & Computer Supplies Avia Lindie, handing over the sponsorship cheque, praised the Rose Hall Town Metro team as true representatives of her company’s brand. She noted that the hard work and discipline over the years has produced positive results.

Secretary/CEO of the RHTY&SC, Hilbert Foster said that the sponsorship reflects the good relationship between the club and the business entity. He noted that the Metro female team has been very successful in the past, winning both the Berbice and national female championship, adding that Shemaine Campbelle, the first Guyanese female cricketer to score an international century, is a product of the team.

Erva Giddings another West Indies player, national players Nikita Toney, Melanie Henry, Phaffiana Millington are also members of the team.
