Primary Schools Male Windball Championship…

St Pius and St Angela’s Primary Schools were the latest schools that recorded victories in the Georgetown leg of the 15th annual Primary Schools Male Windball championship which continued yesterday at the National Park Tarmac.

In Game One, St Pius chalked up 28 without loss with Alwin Franklyn (17), replying to J.E Burnham Primary School, which had earlier made 25-5 in their allotted five overs. Patrick Joseph took three wickets, bowling for St Pius.

In the other game played, Enterprise chasing 57 to win, made 46-3 against St Angela’s that chalked up 56-4 with Orandel Accra making 12 and Akel Fraser 11.

Action continues today at the Welfare Centre Ground in the Canje & New Amsterdam Zones, while tomorrow play moves to Bush Lot Farm ground for the Lower Corentyne Zone.
