Zeeburg team that won the 2009 Barakat Brothers 40-overs competition

Zeeburg Cricket Club plays second division cricket under the West Demerara Cricket Association. Zeeburg reached the final of the New Line Aqua Farm 40-overs competition in 2007 and the semi-final in 2008. Zeeburg won the Barakat Brothers 40-overs competition in 2009 (See Kaieteur News article).

2013 Activities

Zeeburg won the Barakat Brothers 20/20 competition.

Barakat Brothers 20/20:

• (27 Jan at Uitvlugt) Final. Zeeburg defeated Independence SC by 2 wickets. Independence SC 88 in 20 overs (S Esau 37, A Bharrat 23*, R Kellawan 2-12, T Mohamed 2-11, A Rai 2-17). Zeeburg 89-8 in 20 overs (T Mohamed 16, J Ramsahai 14, D Allert 4-16).
• (27 Jan at Uitvlugt) Semi-final. Zeeburg defeated Meten-Meer-Zorg by 12 runs. Zeeburg 128-8 in 20 overs (A Seepersaud 37, G Narine 26, J Ramsahai 25, S Alexander 2-12, V Rajkumar 2-19, A Sharanandan 2-35). Meten-Meer-Zorg 116-7 in 20 overs (J Reynolds 40, K Feele 15, A Bashir 16, R Kellawan 2-11, M Doodnarine 2-25).
