Richard Hector started his first class career in sensational style when he quickly dismissed England batsmen Len Hutton (0) and Peter May (9), with just 21 runs on the scoreboard, on the first morning of the "colony" match. His first class career never really took off, however, and he played only two matches for British Guiana.
