Jeetendra Sookdeo

Jeetendra Sookdeo, an elegant left-handed batsman, made his debut for Guyana in the 2005 CLICO West Indies Under-15 Tournament, in Trinidad & Tobago. He represented Guyana at the Under-19 level in 2008 in Barbados, and in 2009 in Jamaica, scoring a total of four half-centuries.

In 2013 Jeetendra represented the President's XI in the 2012 Inter-county championship.

Lynch Appointed TDO By GCB

The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) appointed former England/West Indies cricketer Monte Lynch as its territorial developmental officer, effective from April 18.

Georgetown Cricket Club and Guyana Defence Force played to an exciting draw as action in the Georgetown Cricket Association\ Noble House Sea Foods second division 2 day competition continued last weekend at MYO.

Leslie Fernandes

Leslie Fernandes, the son of Maurice Pacheco Fernandes, played a single first class match for Guyana (British Guiana then), against EW Swanton's XI, at Bourda in 1961. He toured England in August 1968 with the USA team while a student at the University of Pennsylvania, playing against the minor counties. He also played for the USA against Canada in September 1968.

32 Complete GCC Cricket Camp

Thirty-two (32) young aspiring cricketers from the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) were on Sunday presented with their certificates of participation following the conclusion of a five-week cricket camp organised by the club and sponsored by Noble House Seafood.

President of the club, Devin Munroe told Stabroek Sport in an interview on Wednesday that the club is using whatever “little” resources are available to develop the venue while the Local Organising Committee (LOC) is to come forward with assistance.
