DCC Are Brain Street Champs

Hosts Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) defeated GNIC by four wickets on Saturday to be crowned champions of the Georgetown Cricket Association Brain Street Cup Under-15 cricket competition at the DCC ground, Queenstown.

Regal Supports Under-15 Trio

Regal Stationery and Computer Centre director Mahendra Hardyal, along with Seewchan, Samuel Kingston and Ian John recently formed the Georgetown Softball Cricket League Incorporated to organise several softball competitions for teams within Georgetown and its outlying areas.

Bhaskar Yadram

Batsman Bhaskar Yadram represented Georgetown in 2013 and captained Demerara Under-15 team that won the Inter-County competition in April 2013. In the inter-county competition he scored 99 not out and 53 against the President's XI, and 71 against Berbice and 53 against Essequibo.

Regal Stationery and Computer Centre, one of the sponsors of the current Georgetown Softball League Open, Over-35 and Female tournaments, on Monday last presented a 21-inch colour TV to the Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) Sports Club.

GCA U-19 40-over Competition

A century from Vishal Singh led Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) to a 262-run win over the Gandhi Youth Organization (GYO) in the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Under-19 40-over cricket competition at the GYO ground on Saturday.

Carmichael Stars in Draw

All-rounder Kellon Carmichael turned in productive performances with bat and ball, as Malteenoes Sports Club drew their Hadi’s Mall Incorporated first division, two-day game against GNIC at the Everest Cricket Club ground last weekend.

Guyana National Industrial Corporation

GNIC participates in Georgetown Cricket Association competitions.

Krishna Arjune

Krishna Arjune made his debut for Guyana in the 1998 Nortel Youth Tournament.
