The Young Warriors Cricket Club team have taken the final quarterfinal spot in the Tenelec Inc 2014 Under-15 Cricket Competition when they registered an outright win over Rose Hall Community Center in their final zone B (New Amsterdam/Canje) preliminary match.
The national 14-man Under-15 squad, along with the four stand-by players, began preparation for this year’s regional Under-15 cricket competition in Jamaica with a five-day preparatory camp under the watchful eyes of coach Julian Moore.
No 72 Cut and Load is the first team through to the quarterfinals of the Tenelec Inc Under-15 two-innings cricket competition in Berbice, after taking first innings points from Skeldon Community Centre in their Zone D (Upper Corentyne) match. They also ended as Zone winners.
Berbice - Berbice Under-15 all-rounder Kevin Sinclair had another outstanding all-round performance for Police, against Tucber Park, in the 2014 Tenelec Inc Under-15 competition, under the Berbice Cricket Board.
In the 2014 Berbice Telenec Under-15 2-innings competition, Kevin Sinclair hit 100 and took 7 wickets for 4 runs against Rose Hall Community Centre, and then 110 not out and took 5 wickets for 27 runs against Tucber Park.
The Rose Hall Town Farfan and Mendes (RHTFM) team won $30,000 and the Berbice Under-15 champions crown after they defeated Tucber Park on first innings in the final of the Tenelec Inc Championships held at the Area ‘H’ Ground last Sunday.
