Meanwhile, the ceremony was graced with the presence of Sport Minister Dr Frank Anthony, Secretary of the Guyana Cricket Board Anand Sanasie and President of the Demerara Cricket Board Raj Singh.

In his Chairman’s report, Taajnauth Jadunauth thanked all who had contributed to the club’s significant growth over the past two years. Special mention was made of the input of Dr Anthony, the Guyana Cricket Board and Ravi Etwaroo. While congratulating awardees for their noticeable performances during the year, Jadunauth lamented the growing tendency in many players who are reluctant to go the extra mile to help younger players and who wanted too many things free.

Minister Anthony lauded the progress of the Club within the short period of two years and wished the members every success over the coming years. The ECCCC also announced that it would be touring Suriname shortly for a three-match engagement.
